Cool Dude! Dad Put my shades on!
At his 4 month appointment his stats came in at: 17lbs, 27 inches and his head is 17" around. He is growing like a weed! At the appointment he was sitting on my lap when we were talking to the doctor. The next thing I know I feel something warm on my lap. I looked down to find a nice mustard color on my black pants! His diaper had leaked and poo was every where! It was a little embarrassing, but the Dr asked us to wait to change him for when the exam was done so I bet that's why his diaper leaked. It was something trying to sit through the rest of the appointment, shots included, with poopy pants!

First time in the exersaucer!
He's definitely found his feet in the past couple weeks! It's so cute to see him grabbing for them and then the tiny victory across his face when he realizes those are HIS feet!
Teething has become a part of our lives, too. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/chaychayolei/5366210774/) We've been trying a homeopathic remedy called Camilia. It works pretty well when we can't just distract him from the pain. We've used baby orajel a couple times, too... the first time he did NOT enjoy it, the second was a much better experience.
This month he mastered rolling on his side and grabbing his toes. Then arching back and grabbing his feet again. I got a little video of it the other day. It only took him a few minutes to be in a completely different positing from how I put him!

Just being cute :)
Benjamin has become more and more ticklish! I love hearing those giggles and belly laughs when we play, or even when I'm changing his shirt! It makes me fall in love with this little guy even more. Just knowing he's so happy warms my heart.
He's talking a lot more now and enjoying interacting with us vocally and physically. He sleeps so well at night; sleeping 8 hours straight a few nights. He loves taking baths and splashes in the water.

First solid food: rice cereal and sweet potatoes
The night before he officially turned 4 months old we experiemented with feeding him rice cereal and sweet potatoes pureed. He LOVED it! He leaned forward for the spoon and did very well for his age in getting the food from the spoon to his tummy. It was so messy but we didn't care. We are so proud of our big boy! Of course, the little spoon wasn't getting him fed fast enough so when he got mad we gave him a bottle, but he certainly enjoyed the cereal and sweet potatoes after! I can't wait to see what foods he enjoys and what he doesn't like. I wonder if he'll be a picky eater like me, haha.
