On feb 4th we had a snow storm! It's the most snow Rob and I have ever seen in Texas and Benjamin's first snow!
Benjamin has been sleeping trough the night very often. We are so glad that he is such a good baby. He is usually ready for bed at about 830/9 and sleeps in his crib in his own room. He started doing this towards the beginning of month 3 but it wasn't very consistent. He sleeps on his back or sides and sometimes puts his arm in front of his face. Sometimes if he's sleepy and laying in his bed he'll flail his arms and rub his own head before falling asleep. At Christmas we got what's called a Sleep Sheep. Basically a sound machine inside a stuffed lamb. We use it almost every day to add sone white noise to help him sleep.

| Sleeping on his tummy late Saturday morning |
Ben loves grabbing his toes and rolling from his back to his tummy. He's started to move around more and it won't be long before he knows what to do with his arms and can push himself up and crawl around. He's rolled from his tummy to back a few times, but usually just gets really mad when he doesnt want to be on his tummy any more. I try to let him get mad enough to figure out rolling back but usually my patience breaks before long.
Rob got on a new shift at work so we've had to try to adjust Ben's sleeping schedule a little bit. It was hard at first, getting him to stay up until 1030/11p but he's got the hang of it now. I believe teething and growth spurts come at the same time just to remind us that he knows how to remind us of what a newborn is like! We can see where 2, maybe 3 teeth are getting ready to poke through. They're all on the bottom. He's been drooling like never before and pulling at his ears and extra fussy. He's so big now, he's got to be nearly 20lbs now, if not, very close.![]() |
| Sweet boy loves his sweet potatoes |
He has quite the appetite! We started solids at then end of last month and he has tried sweet potatoes (I made some homemade for him and I think they're better than from the jar), and pears. He still has rice cereal sometimes, but when I make it with formula he doesn't like it so much. We tried avocado and he's not a fan of that, either. He picked up his bottle and tried to feed himself a few days ago, it was so cute!
He's found his laugh and enjoys many things. Funny faces and sounds really get him going. He's also super ticklish! He's always liked getting his clothes changed but now he'll even giggle sometimes. It's so cute! His knees and feet are ticklish too! Rob was razzing at him one night and I caught his laugh on video. The best sound in the world! He was laughing so much it had me laughing so much I got choked up! I love that he's such a happy boy!
